Built-in 1878 in the Victorian “Italianate-style”
the building was given a total renovation in 2000
with careful attention to preserving the original
plaster moldings, multi-piece trim, doors, leaded
glass transoms, soapstone fireplaces and ten foot
high ceilings. The renovation included all new
plumbing, electrical, hardwood flooring, baths and
kitchen. Guests will enjoy suites with private
baths, the common area fireplaces, library/study,
exercise equipment room, eat-in kitchen, 600 sq. ft
outdoor deck and multiple places to relax and watch
a movie, your favorite sports team, or read a book.
Lincoln Park Zoo is a block away with miles of
track running near the lakefront. The famed Chicago
“Magnificent Mile” is about a mile south. Favorite
neighborhood shopping areas of DePaul and Old Town
are just six blocks away and walking distance to
DePaul University and Children’s Memorial Hospital
